Huntboard with Seven Drawers
This huntboard is rich with traditional detail, including a hand-shaped thumbnail edge on the top, beaded drawer and side panel openings, and hand-cut dovetails. These elements are clearly revealed by the milk paint finish.
The milk paint is applied thinly, allowing the warmth of the cherry to show through, particularly where the surface has been gently buffed as part of the traditional finishing process. The amount of rub-through can be adjusted to suit the client’s preference.
The finish is sealed with a wipe-on polyurethane and completed with a natural wax made from linseed oil and beeswax.
