Your payment (full or 50% deposit) is your registration for a class. If a deposit is made, the balance is due two weeks from the date that the class begins.

Cancellations must be received two Weeks prior to class time, in order to recieve a full refund. Cancellations within 2 weeks of the class begin date will be subject to a charge of 25% of the total class cost or 50% of the deposit cost. This is because there is much prep time spent and materials purchased before a class takes place. A late cancellation makes it unlikely that the space will be filled.
Each student will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability in case of injury. Each student needs to be of a frame of mind where they are approaching each task with a focus on safety. This class does not require that you use any power tools but they are part of the project if you wish. I do require that all students when they are not comfortable with a task and never approach/use a power tool or sharp hand tool without being sure of how to use it. I will go over the safe use of any tools that we use.
Lunch will be on your own- You can head to town to pick something up or bring a lunch and we can eat together at the shop or outside if the weather is nice. Coffee will be provided in the morning.
Clothing- In Winter, the shop may be cool if we are not active or if it is extrememly cold outside. It is a good idea to have a sweatshirt or an additinal layer on hand if needed. Very loose clothing can be a safety risk in a workshop environment, so keep that in mind. Long hair should be considered also. Shoes or sneakers are fine. Work boots etc are not necessary. Work aprons may come in handy when gluing joints but I have a few around.
Lodging for multi-day classes is the responsibility of each individual. A search for lodging in the Vergennes or Middlebury area should yield some possibilities. Let me know if you are interested in camping. We may be able to work that out.
