This traditional Hunt table was built for a client in Ireland. When fully opened, it can hold a large spread of food and comfortably seat eight. Historically, this form was also known as a Wake Table, with the coffin placed on the fixed center section.
This is a complex build: the long rule joints for the leaves must be tuned with great accuracy, and the leaves themselves must remain flat and true. The result is a table that is both historically grounded and highly functional.
